Shipping policy

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS

All international shipments are sent on a Delivered Duties Unpaid (DDU) basis.

Under DDU terms:

  • The customer is solely responsible for all import duties, customs fees, VAT, GST, local taxes, brokerage fees, and any other charges imposed by the destination country.
  • Payment of these charges may be required before delivery is completed.

Art of Adventure has no control over customs processing times or fees and cannot predict what specific charges may apply. Customers are advised to contact their local customs authority for information prior to placing an order.

REFUSED SHIPMENTS

If a shipment is refused due to unpaid duties, taxes, or customs charges:

  • The customer remains responsible for all original shipping costs.
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping charges and any additional carrier or customs fees incurred.
  • Any refund issued will be deducted by these amounts.

By placing an order, the customer agrees to these terms and acknowledges responsibility for all applicable import charges.

COMPLIANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL PACKAGING LAWS

Germany – Verpackungsgesetz (LUCID Packaging Register)

In 2019 Germany’s Packaging Act VerpackG came into effect, imposing requirements on online retailers selling to buyers in Germany. The Packaging Act promotes recycling and reuse of packaging materials (e.g. cardboard boxes, tape, and bubble wrap).

Art of Adventure is registered at the Packaging Register of the Stiftung Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (Foundation Central Agency Packaging Register – ZSVR) with registration number DE5865361778082. My Dual System Licensing partner for the collection, sorting & recycling of the packaging is ACTIVATE by RECLAY.

As consumer please ensure that all received packaging is disposed of in the right recycling containers, Blue for all paper and cardboard and Yellow for all plastics.
